Makena Oglesby is a dancer, choreographer, and instructor based in Clearwater, Florida, with over five years of teaching experience. She has trained in ballroom, latin, social, and contemporary styles—including studying at Florida Gulf Coast University under former Paul Taylor Dance Company dancer Francis Huber—and has competitive dance experience, including successfully earning musical theatre and ballet awards through venues such as Streetz Dance Convention.

Makena grew up acting and doing voiceover work and attended a charter school for the arts. Throughout highschool, she served leadership roles for the International Thespian Honors Society, also earning recognition as a Broadway Star of the Future nominee and winner for dance-related roles in many productions.

As an instructor and psychology student, she emphasizes growth, development, and inclusivity, creating a supportive, high-energy environment where dancers of all ages can build confidence and thrive.
