OUR SUMMER CAMPS
Ovations Dance Academy of Tampa offers a summer filled with imagination, skill‑building, and performance, giving children ages 3 and up a place to explore dance, storytelling, and musical theatre in a supportive environment. Ovations features themed half‑day camps each week ends with a showcase that celebrates what campers created together. Older performers can dive into Summer Stock productions of Disney’s The Jungle Book Kids and The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical, while dedicated dancers strengthen their technique through ballet and contemporary intensives led by professional guest artists. Across every offering, Ovations creates a space where kids feel confident trying something new and proud of what they accomplish.
Families can choose from half‑day or full‑day camps for ages 3 to 6 and 7 and up. Half‑day camps run from 9:00 to noon for $185 dollars. Full‑day camps run from 9:00 to 3:00 for $350.

Participants in the filmmaking initiative explore the full arc of production, from directing and writing to cinematography, editing, and producing. The curriculum includes a two‑week training period that leads into a professionally organized 48 Hour Film Challenge and a global premiere event, with opportunities for mentorship and international exposure through potential partnerships with organizations such as Cinemagic and other global film communities.
Haeussner shared a final reflection on the collaboration: “The Ovations Summer Intensives are about more than dance. They are about possibility. They remind us that when young people are given expert guidance, meaningful opportunities, and a supportive community, they can achieve extraordinary things. I look forward to capturing the artistry, dedication, and heart that make Ovations Dance Academy such a special place.”
Ovations’ goal is to keep raising the bar, so our students have access to instructors who help them grow as artists in ballet, musical theater, and new opportunities like filmmaking and acting for the camera.
